Aer Lingus is set to tap into the growing market for Bulgarian flight routes, planning the launch of a twice weekly Dublin to Bourgas route.With Bulgaria now a member of the European Union, the increased demand for air travel to and from the country has led Aer Lingus to launch its first Bulgarian route, serving travellers to the Black Sea locations near Bourgas Airport.Enda Corneille, Aer Lingus corporate affairs director said, “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers another new popular holiday destination which compliments our existing extensive schedule.”When the Irish carrier launches the new route in mid-June, it will not be the only airline accessing the Bulgarian market – with eastern European budget carrier Wizz Air recently announcing new flights from Sofia to Brussels.
