first_imgThe action continued at Finn Valley AC today as 600 students from secondary schools in the North West enjoyed the cross country races.Today saw the end of a successful two day programme that had a huge involvement of 1400 people. This was a very encouraging and enthusiastic turnout and indicates that such a project outline could be rolled out nationally, says Club Founder Patsy McGonagle. Thanks were expressed to the Finn Valley club members that delivered a well organised meeting based on a positive response to an invitation for schools from Tyrone, Donegal, Sligo and Derry to get involved. Aer Lingus is set to tap into the growing market for Bulgarian flight routes, planning the launch of a twice weekly Dublin to Bourgas route. With Bulgaria now a member of the European Union, the increased demand for air travel to and from the country has led Aer Lingus to launch its first Bulgarian route, serving travellers to the Black Sea locations near Bourgas Airport.Enda Corneille, Aer Lingus corporate affairs director said, “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers another new popular holiday destination which compliments our existing extensive schedule.”When the Irish carrier launches the new route in mid-June, it will not be the only airline accessing the Bulgarian market – with eastern European budget carrier Wizz Air recently announcing new flights from Sofia to Brussels. The new route will allow Wizz Air to expand its Bulgarian services to offer a full eight destinations from the capital city.Fellow newcomer to the EU Romania has also seen its west European flight links enhanced since entry, with Spanish flag carrier Iberia this week announcing an increase in flight frequency for its popular Madrid-Bucharest line.ReturnOne wayMulti-cityFromAdd nearby airports ToAdd nearby airportsDepart14/08/2019Return21/08/2019Cabin Class & Travellers1 adult, EconomyDirect flights onlySearch flights Maplast_img read more
