NegOcc sets target for 2020 budget approval

Jeffrey Ferrer said before the five-day budget deliberations, whichstarted on Wednesday.    The 2020 proposed budget is 5-percent highercompared to this year’s P4 billion.   For 2020, theprovincial government will receive the Internal Revenue Allotment share ofP3.726 billion, which will form the bulk of the budget source. The remainingtwo days – Nov. 20 and 21 – will be scheduled for the Social Sector-Part 2 andSpecial Appropriations. The first daycovered discussions on the allocations for the General Public Sector includingthe Governor’s Office, Office of the Provincial Administrator, Vice Governor’sOffice, the Provincial Board, Provincial Accountant’s Office, ProvincialTreasurer’s Office, Provincial Assessor’s Office, and General Services Office,among others.      BACOLOD City – The Provincial Board of NegrosOccidental is expected to approve the province’s proposed P4.2-billion 2020 budgetby the end of the month. center_img Ferrer,however, said there’s a possibility that the wrapping up of the discussionswould be delayed by a day or two.        Meanwhile,the deliberations for the Economic Sector and Social Sector-Part 1 will be onThursday and Friday, respectively.  Other sourcesare earnings from the province’s economic enterprise and other localincome. (With a report from PNA/PN)last_img
