Younger vets should join vets’ groups

first_imgCategories: Letters to the Editor, Opinion This is an open letter to all the younger veterans in the tri-city area who aren’t involved with the various veterans’ organizations in the area: I realize that you all have families to raise and other obligations, but a lot of the veterans’ groups are hurting for membership. If the younger veterans don’t get involved, then some of these organizations might not be around later in your life when you might need them.I know, because I’m a Vietnam veteran and didn’t appreciate these groups until I joined them myself.
