The competition is open from April 19 to May 3, 2019, and the conditions of the competition and application forms can be downloaded from Valamar Riviere website. Participants in the competition can only be institutions, schools and registered associations based in the Republic of Croatia. The results of the competition will be announced no later than May 17, 2019. In the past five years, more than 5000 overnight stays with boarding services have been donated, and more than 2000 children and their leaders from all over Croatia have spent their summers in Valamar. This year, too, Valamar Riviera will donate a total of a thousand nights in one of its 34 hotels and resorts and 15 camping resorts. “A Thousand Days on the Adriatic Sea” is implemented within Valamar’s socially responsible business program “Big Heart of Valamar” through which Valamar Riviera actively and continuously supports associations and initiatives in the local community, cares for the most vulnerable and needy and contributes to the culture of reciprocity. At the same time, Valamar Riviera was awarded the “Pride of Croatia” for the program “A Thousand Days on the Adriatic Sea” – a prestigious award for humanitarian works whose winners are chosen by the citizens themselves. By ensuring a stay at sea in one of its hotels, resorts or camps, Valamar Riviera once again helps children without adequate family care, from low-income families, with certain health difficulties that would benefit from staying at sea in terms of treatment or recovery, and children with special needs.
